Join us
OUCCC caters for athletes of all levels and everyone is welcome to come and train with us. We provide the training set-up and support necessary for everyone - from beginners to those competing at a national or even international level. Regardless of your previous running experience, we’d love you to join our team and be part of the next generation of Oxford Cross Country athletes.
We’re aware that with how hectic Michaelmas always is, some students don’t find time to join the clubs they want to. Fortunately, OUCCC is easy to join all year! Our social runs provide the perfect way to meet new people and fulfil a new year’s resolution at the same time. We’re also rerunning our 3 week trial period in Trinity, so that you can see what we have to offer before committing to a membership. There really is no reason not to give it a go! If you have any questions, feel free to message us on our Instagram.
The main goal of the club is to beat Cambridge at Varsity in Michaelmas. We session on Wednesday and Saturday, with long run on Sunday and club runs on Tuesday and Thursday. However, if you are new to running or competitive running is not your thing then we also have a social running group that you can join here:
Beyond high quality training and competition, we have a huge amount to offer as a club - from a vibrant social scene to preseason training camp in September. Many members make long lasting friendships here and create memories that last a lifetime. If you have any questions about joining OUCCC or our training set up you can also get in touch with our Captains.
It is worth noting that after third week Michaelmas, everyone having made the decision to join OUCCC and consistently training with the club must have filled out the membership form and paid their subs. For any membership queries please email our Secretary and copy in the OUAC.
Your membership with OUCCC entitles you to:
- Eligibility to wear Oxford colours when racing

- Free entry and subsidised transport to club fixtures
- Training at dedicated OUCCC sessions with a top UK Athletics Coach

Joint Membership Via Student Regular Giving: £15/quarter
This is a new form of membership that is being implemented in 2024 as part of the 1876 Trust Student Regular Giving Programme. This membership option is for those students in their final year of study, who can opt to put their membership fee towards establishing an endowment fund for OUCCC. This will mean that you can have a discounted joint membership fee of £15/quarter, which will be put towards securing the long term financial future of OUCCC. Alternatively, if you would like to contribute more than £15/quarter, you are able to do so. This endowment fund will be used to build an income stream for the club that will make membership more accessible to all and help overcome the financial barriers we face in improving our provisions for all athletes in the club. If you are a final year student, please do consider this option!
