Cricket in the Parks including middle bench meeting point
Uni Parks is pretty popular for walks and socials, hosts a series of rugby pitches in and about the trees and flowers. It's got lots of variety, with a fair amount of routes you can take through the park that will lead you through or around it, with options to head to Exeter-Hertford Playing Fields or onto longer routes if wanted. In terms of training, we don’t use it for specific sessions too often but it is often used as part of the route on club runs or warm ups. That said, Uni Parks has a lot of popularity with those of us who love a park run every Saturday morning. The venue has various paths so is a mixture of grass and hard standing surfaces and is (obviously) very flat - aside from the extremely steep bridges crossing over the river.
Pros
- Popular place for a run so lots of other runners about
Nice scenery and things to look at as you run- flowers, rugby matches, can do some people watching …. So you won’t get bored during the run
Cons
- Can be a little busy sometimes so if you prefer running without people being around probably not the place for you
