Social Running

Blenheim Palace Long Run

Blenheim Palace Long Run

Don’t feel like hammering out laps of the playing fields or the athletics track?

Prefer a chill 5k along the river instead?

That’s what OUCCC Social Running is for. We meet at the Radcliffe Camera once or twice a week for a gentle run around Oxford.

Join the Social Running Facebook Group to stay up to date on what we’re doing, and the Social Running Rep will post the route a day or two in advance. The route and the distance will vary, but we will try to keep it around 5km. Don’t worry about the pace, we’ll all stick together.

SOCIAL RUNNING FACEBOOK GROUP

If you are new to running or haven't done much before then Social Running is the group for you. It's a great place to get back into running and building your fitness before joining in with the main group, if competition running is your thing.

If you’ve got any questions about running at Oxford or joining OUCCC, the our Social Running Rep will be happy to help!

Active at Oxford Programme

OUCCC has signed up to be part of the Active at Oxford campaign and is opening up both our Social Running and Club Runs to Oxford students, staff and the wider Oxford community.

The Active at Oxford Programme brings together some of the beginner friendly, low commitment and social sport opportunities here at Oxford. There are a range of sports on offer for students, staff and community members all of which allow you to:

  • Come when you want, no commitment expectation
  • Join in any time through the year
  • Take part without a trial
  • Make new friends (and bring your friends along!)
  • Have a free taster session before joining
