We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did. We will back again next year and look forward to welcoming you back to the legendary track where Sir Roger Bannister set the first sub-4-minute mile, running 3:59.4 in 1954. Next year will be a celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the sub-4min mile so be sure to join us.
Iffley Festival of Miles 2024
A series of graded mile races held on the legendary track on which Roger Bannister set the first sub-4 minute mile, running 3:59.4 in 1954. The event will involve paced, seeded races, with an Elite invitational race in which the field will be expected to run under 4:00 for men and 4:36 for women. Aside from the A-races, the Iffley Festival of Miles will be a great place for many to set PBs in the rarely contested mile distance, under the control of experienced pacers.
Whether you are looking to run sub4 or just wanting to come down and run around the historic track, this is event for you, and everyone is welcome, so don't hesitate in getting your entry in now!

The meeting will be run under Level 2 UKA licence and have electronic timing and photofinish.
Entry
Entries for Iffley Festival of Miles are yet to be opened via OpenTrack. Please keep an eye out for entries opening in the New Year.
Elite entry
There have only ever been 8 people at Iffley Road dip below the magical mark of 4min for the Mile. Let's get a big turnout again this year and hopefully someone will be added to that list. For a complete list of all the sub-4min and sub-4:38 mile runners please see the list below.
Men who have run under 3:45 for 1500m and women under 4:30 in 2023-24 are eligible for free entry and should contact the race organisers.
