Training Schedule

OUCCC TRAINING: 25/09-02/10 (MT -2nd/-1st weeks)

Club training is directed and overseen by Kyle Bennett, the Club Coach. The schedule throughout Michaelmas and Hilary terms will be as follows:

Monday:
Informal easy runs to be arranged on the relevant Facebook groups

Tuesday:
Informal easy runs to be arranged on the relevant Facebook groups

Wednesday:
1 pm SESSION (Exeter-Hertford playing fields/Uni Parks).

6 pm SESSION (Iffley Road Track).
The same as the lunchtime session for those who can’t make it.  Try to make the lunchtime session if possible; daylight and grass are better for training through the winter.

Thursday
5.15 pm CLUB RUN (meet at the Radcliffe Camera).
This will be an easy run, lasting between 30 and 45 minutes, ideally with several club members leading a range of paces.

Friday:
Well earned rest!

Saturday:
10 am SESSION (South Parks/Exeter-Hertford playing fields).

Sunday:
10 am LONG RUN (meet at the Radcliffe Camera). (Including Social Running group.)
This run is usually 60-90 min depending on ability.

During Trinity Term the majority of athletes in the club switch their focus to track racing, anything from 400m to 10k. The weekly training schedule is shaped the same, but the evening session on Tuesday becomes the main session and the lunchtime sessions cease. Please join the mailing list to be up to date with training locations, as these can vary.

You are welcome to come and try out any of these sessions.  We do not expect people to come to everything; just try out what you fancy and do what you are comfortable with!
