Varsity is over for another year – in both races on Saturday we came away losing the team titles, but this was complemented with some outstanding individual efforts. Cambridge came out and attacked both races with everyone running fast times in heavy conditions. The club has progressed fantastically over the last 8 weeks, but now needs to refocus on what will be a flat and fast course in Leeds in 8 weeks from now.
Mens’ Blues, Varsity 2012
Seconds to Fourths looked on paper to be a closely fought contest, and this certainly proved to be the case yesterday. It was an honest and gutsy effort from all who ran at Wandlebury – everyone represented the club with real passion and left everything out there on the course. I couldn’t have asked for anything more as captain, even if the results didn’t go the way we had wanted.
Muddy, long and hard (there were a few less hills though), yesterday saw some solid running with the RAF well beaten in both the men’s and the women’s race.
Huge thanks to Franco for organising a really successful and smooth running event.
